Definetly B&H. Camera autherized, a good 200 USD cheaper than any local retailer, and full warranty.

I second that. B&H is great. I've bought several things from them.

B&H is a good company..I have purchased a few items from them.

Although the first lens i bought from them was a bad apple (75-300 IS )

Yep, B+H for me as well, even being in OZ. Service and shipping are excellant and have yet to have any problems with any of the items i have ordered. Although i did buy my 100-400 from Adorama as they were had a bigger rebate, but B+H for all other purchases.

            Cheers

BH is great, though more expensive then 47th street and 17th street photo, all 3 i've mentioned are exceptional and usually 17th street is the cheapest and they have a NY showroom.

I don't know if you have bought your lens or not, but I have been in the market as well and someone told me about the Sigma 80-400 OS f5.6-? APO lens.

I read a couple reviews about this lens and all the reviews seem to agree that the Sigma is comparable to the 100-400. The only cons to the Sigma is that it's focusing system is slightly slower because it does not have the USM. One review stated that there are a handful of bad copies, but they can be exchanged for a better copy.

On the plus the quality has been said to be about the same maybe even better at some focal points. A big plus, you get virtually the same high quality lens for nearly $400 less. The OS(Optical Stabilizer) is just as good as Canon's IS.

Personally, I have two low end Sigma lenes I bought right after I got my 10D and I must say I am very pleased with the Sigma line. Also the Canon lens is a push-pull zoom system and the Sigma has a twist zoom system which I like better.

I guess it is all in one's personal opinion.

                    Good Luck

nothing wrong with Sigma lenses at all, they are the next best thing you can shove on a Canon outside the L series, stick with the Sigma EX series if your looking at Sigma lenses.
