  • Best Flash Card

Hey all- I'm getting a 350D soon, but it doesn't come with any storage media. I read that it's supposed to write to cards faster than its predecessor, which led me to wonder does it matter what write-speed the card has (I'm guessing the answer is yes)? What have you guys been happy with & what brand do you think I should get?

    Thanks
    J

I've been using two PQI 1GB 40x that I got for $80 each... both work fine for me...

Get a 1GB...they are well worth the money now...even the high-speed ones are down to like 70-80$ now.

I saw a 1gb Lexar at sam's club for $70 the other day. Contemplated buying it but my 256 is holding it down right now.

I have that one, it does well. I also have the Lexar 1gb and 512mb SD for my Kodak PS, well its not really that fast, but the compact flash one does well.

I use the 512MB version and it is awesome, clearly better then the San Disk Ultra II

In general I prefer to use more smaller cards instead of 1 large card. If you ever had a card failure and lost a whole day of pictures, you will know why.

OK I just checked Lexar's website & they say that Canon doesn't support the WA technology.... can anyone confirm this?

Also, has anyone else had a card failure?

I got today a SanDisk UltraII 512MB CompactFlash, I'll have to test it with my coolpix to see how fast is the camera (the card is really fast)
