    yes, they only have silver w/ the kit lens, but its an amazingly good deal... and you can trust new egg, they are one of the most amazing stores i have ever delt with, and if you work on computers, you probably know that too

    they also have the silver w/o lens at $849.95, and the 300d at $729 w/o lens and only $.95 more for the lens(+$6.50 fedex 3 day shipping for both)

          From what I read that camera is a POS. Extremely small viewfinder, flimsy construction, too small to handle if you have larger than very small hands, slow.

          A dumbed down (in both features and quality) 300D (and I was far from impressed with that one).

          Even photo.net (normally lyrical about anything Canon) is less than enthousiastic.

              Well I've checked out a 350D at our local camera store and while it is a little small, it wasn't hard to hold or use. Of course I couldn't take a look at the pictures I snapped in the store (looking at them on the little LCD display doesn't count) so I can't speak for the quality. However, I didn't have any problems using the camera due to its size or a poor design.

                More reason for me to just keep the 300d body as a backup.. its gonna resell for like pocket change now
