  • Who has got the 350D?

    I've heard that some 350D bodies had problems, specially with white pixels appearing at long exposures and AF problems.

    How many of you have gotten a faulty 350D?

    Where did you hear that from? "Stuck" pixels are generally not a problem, they can be mapped out.

          That explains it. I wouldn't worry too much.

                      If you have a hot pixel (one that always shows up green), there is a procedure I read somewhere that will analyze the output, find the hot pixels and either gives it the same info as an adjoining one each time, or basically ignoring it's output. I think it was done in one of the noise reduction functions. Not sure if every camera can do it though. I know there is something similar to this in the D100's menu.

                              I've had mine for about a week now. I'm quite impressed with it so far. This is my first photo on the DB with it:

                              [photoid=475997]

                              I've noticed a single 'hot pixel' towards the bottom of the frame whil editing. It only shows up in high contrast situations (ie if you have a black background, the white pixel shows). Its only noticable when viewed at 100% and easily removed so its not a problem.
