How about sitting in you car for 3 hours at the end of the runway waiting for that special cargoflight to arrive, and when you give up and go the blody thing lands right over your head! Or waiting for yet again the special airplane to land only to find out that they have changed runways 1 minute before it lands, and you don't have time enough to get to the other end of the runway!

At DEN a runway shift usually means a 10-15 mile drive...

.....walking the full length of a 10,000 foot runway to get the approaching aircraft in frame.......

.......and the wind changes 10 minutes after you get there !!!

For me, spotting at RWY03R waiting for that special arrival, just to hear that tower gives him RWY03L option and he accepts. DAMN!!!!!
