  • Backlight help or suggestions

It seems my local airport was not designed for photography with its location to the sun. In the attached image, the red indicates my spotting locations, and the blue indicates where the sun shines from in its daily path. If somebody could give me tips in reducing backlight that would be great.

Find another location. The only advice I can give you. Perhpas somewhere near the neds of the runway.

The best location which you've pin pointed would be the one on the far left of the diagram. You wouldn't exactly be shooting into the sun there. The other two locations would be very backlit. The best spot to be in would be on the otherside of the runway, in other words facing the terminal. There you'd have the sun behind you more or less throughout the day.
