  • Olympus Problem!

    Hi, the C-725 was in my bag, and i guess i probably dropped it somewhere or something.. and now it wont power on! what do i do?

    Oops. Try taking better care of your camera next time

    Or it could be that your batteries are dead too.

      Same with my fuji 2800z, but i didnt drop mine. When i hit the power button it just wont go on. And its not the batteries because i tried new ones and it sill doesnt go on.

        same here, my batteries were fresh, I even added new ones to make sure! Oh darn!

          Is it still under warranty? If yes, maybe you can make up a story without mentionning the incident and it fixed for free at the shop you bought it.... but if the warranty has expired it's bad luck and time to upgrade your equipment maybe.
          I have a C720 and the same happened to me it would not start or stay on even to take a photo the lens was rectracting as soon as I composed a shot. But it seemed my problem was coming from the batteries, I bought new rechargeable ones and now it works fine again.

            Make sure your battery contacts are still in place & that the door shuts & locks firmly. I remember my C-730uz had a pretty flimsy battery cover & if you didn't lock it properly the batts would fall out. Also call Olympus & see if they can troubleshoot it over the phone.
