Bad info- What is this a/c?

Well, I went on a uploading spree....1 pic out of 9 ain't bad, for me (learn from mistakes) Anyway this one got rejected for bad info, which I was half expecting. I'm pretty sure it's a Pitts but i'm not certain, so if someone could tell me what this is it'd be great.
This may sound stupid but what exactly is jpg compression ? and how can it be reduced?

I did write a note in your email, despite how it is written the official registration is C-IGER, which is a Murphy Renegade, c/n 466.

You can do a lookup on any Canadian civil aircraft registration here:

http://www.tc.gc.ca/aviation/activepages/ccarcs/en/current_e.asp#quick?x_lang=e

You enter the characters (without the leading C) into the 'Mark' field

The only case when it is written C*-*** is when it is CF-*** (just meaning it is an older aircraft). In this case the database identifies it as C-IGER

Funnily enough it is registered to "Fred Baron" which more than explains the paint scheme
