  • Barton Opportunities

    Hey all,
I was just thinking of going to my local airfield - barton for a bit of a relaxed shoot some time next week.
I want to know what I can expect when I go.
I have flown from there before, but what is their stance on photographers+what kind of access could i get?(also, where can i shoot from?)
This will be my first photo attempt at a small regional airfield and i would like any help you can offer.
    Thanks alot.

Barton is still full of GA if that's what you're wondering For spotting and taking photos, at the bottom ATC tower (where you sign in for flying lessons etc) there's some steps which leads up to (if you like) a mini spotter's terrace and from there you can view all around the airfield. The best photo opportunities from the terrace are capturing the aircraft taking off and landing (obviously depending on the wind direction). Hope that helps abit

      Cheers.
Do they have any problems with taking photos from the 'terrace'?
