Why is this photo rejected as a double upload? I've never submitted it to the screeners before....

Actually, I wouldn't. The screener probably choose the wrong category when selecting a rejection reason. There are some things wrong with that photo that will prevent it from being accepted into the db.Originally posted by Tanner_J

It was rejected for double, when another "similar" pic was still in the queue. At the end both pics have been rejected, making the "baddouble" of course wrong, but we can't change that afterwards.
I didn't screen the appeal, but have to agree with "Brick" and Mark: the pic has it's issues, which could lead to a rejection anyway. Try to fix them first.
