  • Air New Zealand scheme

    Hi,

Unsure I am posting in the right place but am sure someone will tell me. I just had an image accepted and got a comment from screener:
Screener's Comments: corrected categories: Special Scheme

    http://www.jetphotos.net/viewphoto.p...7685972&nseq=0

I have edited the remarks field to reflect this is not a special scheme but the new Air New Zealand scheme which will be rolled out over the fleet in coming months.

This is the first image I uploaded as hot and thanks for accepting it.

    Thanks,

    Colin

    • Hi Screeners,

May I ask if a photo of a New Zealand C-130 Hercules in Los Angeles counts as a hot photo? It wasn't there for an Airshow or anything routine. I did a search of the database and there is only one photo of a RNZAF aircraft in LAX. The quality is not 100% good, so would you guys suggest that I upload it? And whether it is a hot photo?
      Any help would be appreciated.

      Thanks,
      Michael

        • Guys,

I had a South Korean Lynx rejected as 'Invalid Hot' .. A few hours later I come and find 4 photos of the same lynx from 4 other people accepted as hot..

I appealed then, and got a rejection without a reason..

            Buzu,
You have the answer to this in the PM reply that I just sent you where I explained that the other shots should not have been accepted and why. Why do you PM me and then go public in the forum here ?
I suppose I could always delete the images that were accepted and tell the photographers involved to reupload them into the normal queue ?

            For future reference...
HOT is for issues of international interest. It is not for localised first visits of aircraft regardless of how rare or interesting they may be. It certainly does not apply to aircraft delivered in 1990.

            • Brian,

I posted here after I sent you a message, just to check if I could re-upload it as Hot...

It's late here and I thought a screener from other timzones could help, since we are basically in the same timezome..

It would be really appreciated if the HOT Photo is understood by everyone...since I don't think it is consistent in my case..

No need to delete the pics... I'm not jealous...Just looking for consistency...

Case closed... Cleared up... Hoping to keep the high level of acceptance rate.. I need to talk to you privately on something else too, since you always help me a lot...... but not today..

              Good night!

              • Hot photo and Ticker entry

                Hi JP Admins,

Earlier today, I uploaded a picture of Air Pegasus (one of the new airline starting operations in India) first ATR aircraft VT-APA (www.jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=7985726). Thanks for accepting the picture as HOT.

I would like to clarify if this picture would be eligible for the Ticker entry.

I also wrote a note after uploading the picture to one of your email id's asking not to publish any information about this picture. May be is that the reason its not on ticker? I would like to clarify that now I have all the required approvals to publish the image on the internet, so you may update your ticker entry with these details.

                Apologies for the confusion.

Let me know if you need any more specific information about this picture.

                • Hi,

Hope I am posting this query in the right place. New registrations are now automatically hot, but what if the reg provided by Auto-Fill (existing data in the database) is not up to date. Can we explicitly select 'Hot Photo' for such photos if the aircraft now having the reg is not present in the database?

                  Regards,
                  Siddarth

Short answer is yes. Hot photo is getting more complicated these days. Basically, this is how it works..

                    Valid hot =
                    1. New aircraft type for an airline. Multiple uploads accepted up to 48 hours from the first upload.
                    2. New Special Scheme. Multiple uploads accepted up to 48 hrs from first upload.
                    3. Existing registration not in database. First upload only accepted.
                    4. Existing registration allocated to a new aircraft. First upload only accepted UNLESS the aircraft is a new type to the airline in which case see item 1.
                    5. Newsworthy events of international interest at screeners discretion.
                    6. Delivery of new type at the operators home base. Multiple uploads accepted up to 48hrs from first upload accepted.

                    Invalid Hot =
                    1. First visit to an airport.
                    2. Rare aircraft already in database.
                    3. Events of local interest only.
                    4. First revenue flights.
If it 'ain't broken........ Don't try to mend it !

Thanks for the clarification Brian. No. 4 is what I wanted to clarify.

                          • Hello Brian!

May I ask you something regarding Hot Photo?
I have photographed em Embraer 195 E2 First Flight. I's already in my queue, but I was affraid it could be rejected, as I would post as Hot. Anyways, I believe it has a pretty strong International interest as it's flown ahead in schedule.
If you can take a look it's in this link:
                            https://www.jetphotos.com/viewqueued_b.php?id=5800301
If it's not hot I'll be more than glad to wait it's time.
                            Regards

Sorry, but that is asking us to pre-screen your photo, asking for favouritism.

If the photo is in the queue, it will be screened when it appears in the screening system.

                              Thank you for your understanding.
