it depends how newsworthy it is. If it was talked internationally like it was for the collision in IST then yes.
A flat tire on a Cessna is not. On your case it'll also depends on how much damage is visible on the picture.
@Romain
I'm not from the team but my explanation is following:
The Beluga has already 3 pictures in database. 2 from a not painted Beluga and one from a taxi test in full colors. So therefore your pictures does not show something really new.
The Hot photo only applies to really new things especially to cover FR24 with the most up to date photos of liveries and special paint schemes. So that FR24 can always display actual data. Your Beluga has these data already delivered.
So simply put in the normal queue and hopefully it will be displayed then
I understand that airframe is already in DB, but it's better to follow the news ? No ?
Lot of peoples (passionate and spotters) have made travel to Toulouse in this way...
Today's everybody (professional or non-professional) speaks about first flight of Beluga XL and so search pictures in good quality !
But nothing in Jetphotos ? Regulars visitors will have to wait 10-15 days ?
To remember in 2013, for the first flight of Airbus A350 all pictures was uploded during 24h in "hot" for all spotters....
Why not do the same again?
@Romain
but what is the difference between your picture and the picture in database? That it's in the air? Well that is not that special as I believe everyone knows that the plane will fly. I understand that you don't like it but thats it. According to the A350 I can not answer you that except that its 5 years old and maybe the rule was changed a bit during that time. Not sure.
I can also understand the two sides here, on the first side that its indeed something special but on the other side there is already a picture of the same plane and same coloursheme etc. So posting here will not really make a difference. We all have to wait the 12 days or so to get screened. I have around 400 pictures to upload so I will have to wait long till thats done
For the A350 a staff member will surely give you an answer as I don't know if the rule maybe was changed with the "support/acquisition" from FR24.

The photo has been added, the first flight falls under "newsworthy events".
Hi, today I took a photo of a formation from a practice for the Russian Navy (VMF) day and uploaded it as hot, got a rejection with "invalid hot" as one of the reasons.
I thought that this was newsworthy since it was a full blown parade, there were a multitude of spectators and it was broadcast on the local news (see here): https://www.spb.kp.ru/daily/26860.4/3902375/
I think it should be clarified as to what "other newsworthy events" mean as this interpretation is very open

As you say. On the local news. Not a big global happening. And the subject, a formation of well known aircraft doesnt meet any hot criteria.
“The only time you have too much fuel is when you’re on fire.”
hi,
There's no reason for a parade pic to jump a queue. Like you said it was broadcasted in the local media. It might be locally newsworthy but not for an international point of view.
“Other newsworthy event” cannot be defined. It is used when a screener/s make/s a one off decision based on the content of the image. Your image is just a formation trailing smoke with nothing visible to make it special.
If it 'ain't broken........ Don't try to mend it !
Dear friends,
I ask on behalf of several colleagues from Israel:
After you have already accepted one "Hot Photo" from the departure of the new EL-AL's Retro jet on the way to Israel, is also one photo or more from Israel during the landing can be considered as hot shot?
We are all here [and me personally of course] will be happy to receive clarification, Thanks in advance.
