    • Last night I uploaded the first visit of UA's new livery to Dulles and it was declared invalid hot...there is only one other photo of the new cs in the database, seems quite curios to me.

Which part is curious to you?

        • Seems like 2nd picture in db of the new cs and first visit to the capital should in some way qualify as noteworthy, but if not then not.

Both mentioned reasons are nothing news worthy.

Might have been newsworthy last week, but since it's been on the DB for over eight days, not so newsworthy any more, and as it clearly states in the hot photo guidelines, first visits are not considered newsworthy.

Is there any visible change to the livery/appearance of the aircraft?

                    • Hello Dear JP Forum Crew.

If and aircraft engine was repainted and now have a new look, does a picture of it count as hot?

                      Regards

                      • If it's just a replacement part with a different color, then no. If it's a new official colors for the engines, then yes.

                        • I just uploaded a Qantas A330 with new special livery, but I have no idea of why photo screener gave me invalid hot rejection.
Firstly I want to say, I have already read all information of the rule of hot photos in guide.

I don't understand this insistence. Upload your second photo normally and if it is good it will surely be accepted.

That's only if they fall within the similar criteria. Different sides, sequence or airfield don't have such a time restriction.

And while you're generally right on differences between days, you have no idea how quickly Sun Country rolled out some stickers (anniversary I believe) last year. I screened several different planes with that change the same day.

Yes, from previous experience, this should be okay. But screeners think even the uploading guide does not say anything about this, but this action will bring pressure to the queue and it is meanless to upload. So since now it would be possible to get rejected if you get same case as this one.

                        • Hi, yesterday evening I uploaded a new pic D-ANRI as hot due to be the first pic in the db. The pic was not screened till now. In the meantime another pic was accepted as first pic which could happen, when someone was faster. But I didn't recieve a rejection mail with "invaldi hot". Is my pic now in the nomal queue or is there a bug.

                          • It's because that guy uploaded faster than you and his was accepted as HOT. You one is automatically went to normal queue. It means it was never on HOT queue.

Hi Raihan, that's what I assumed but I'm sure that I alsO uploaded as hot and in the past I got rejections as invalid hot when someone was faster than me and it didn't end up in the nortmal queue.
