  • Your photo wasn't rejected for invalid hot, because both hot photos were initially in the hot photo queue at the same time and screened as hot.

    • Hi! Is new Installing network system on top of aircraft could upload as hot photo? (The appearance of the aircraft has changed)
      Kind regards from Sydney

        • Why are you so obsessed with hot photos? In my opinion, this degree of appearance change can only be used as a reason for uploading the same angle repeatedly.

My friend does't have a community account and want to ask me to ask questions there. Moreover, It is very common to ask rules in the forum.
If you are not interested in hot photos, you can choose to don't upload your photos as hot. I wish you have a nice day!

Because this is the second time I've seen you post about the issue of hot photos within a short period of time, and both times it was a very simple rules question, isn't it?

If you often upload jetphotos, you will find that many of them have been reviewed as hot photos and accepted because of the addition of wifi devices. So for this kind of ambiguous question, I think it is necessary to confirm this matter.

                  • You are right to ask. This reduces the stress of the screeners

The fame of jetphotos in the Chinese spotting community is such that Chinese spotters are really keen on getting their photos into the database and will always look for ways to upload them more quickly, as hot for example. All for clout really. I've seen so many people on Chinese social media spending ridiculous amounts of time on editing one image, just so that it can be accepted into jetphotos. It has transcended a hobby for many of them, more like a test they feel that they need to pass and they are willing to go to great lengths for it.

Minor changes in appearance that are difficult to notice without pointing them out, such as the installation of an antenna or a tiny sticker... I don't understand the significance of these becoming hot photos, but it seems that some people are just obsessed with them.

As for myself, I also use the hot photo function, but only for new aircraft/registration numbers and new special liveries. I have almost never received invalid hot rejections, except for one time: when I wrote the wrong registration number.

The meaning of life is different for everyone, just like many people don’t understand why we spend time on taking so many photos of airplanes.

I honestly don't understand your thought. Everyone lives a passion as he believes and if he decides to spend his time studying post-production I think it is legitimate to do so without anyone starting to criticize it.
Doing anything to skip the queue is a different matter. This I think is quite stupid. But it has been discussed abundantly elsewhere and I think it will be enough here too.

                            • Every image that is unreasonably uploaded as hot represents a waste of time and energy on the part of the screener/s as they have to spend extra time to research the validity or otherwise of the “Hotness” of the image. This time lost impacts on the normal queue screening time.
If it 'ain't broken........ Don't try to mend it !

                              • I couldn't find the direct answer to this in the guidelines, unless I overlooked it, but what if an aircraft's registration is in the database but no photo has been uploaded of that plane...is it considered a hot photo if I upload a photo of that plane?
