Your photo wasn't rejected for invalid hot, because both hot photos were initially in the hot photo queue at the same time and screened as hot.

Hi, yesterday evening I uploaded a new pic D-ANRI as hot due to be the first pic in the db. The pic was not screened till now. In the meantime another pic was accepted as first pic which could happen, when someone was faster. But I didn't recieve a rejection mail with "invaldi hot". Is my pic now in the nomal queue or is there a bug.

And while you're generally right on differences between days, you have no idea how quickly Sun Country rolled out some stickers (anniversary I believe) last year. I screened several different planes with that change the same day.

My previous accepted photo is different to this one. Previous accepted photo is the aircraft taking off, and the photo that got rejected is taxi.
Moreover, these photos are different sides of the aircraft, one is left side, another one is right side. So it will also not cause similar rejection.
Furthermore, according to my understanding of the guide. There is no limit of quantity of 48h hot photos rule.
If I upload the same picture or similar picture as my photo that already in database then got rejected, I would not post this issue on the forum, thanks for your understanding!

I apologise for wasting your time, but just some advice from me, if this type of hot photos is not qualify to photo photos, I strongly suggest all screeners should reject all photos like this case and update this information in guide. I believe there will have more people face the same situation in the future. I choose the way in forum for asking the reason why this photo is not qualify as hot photos, but i think some people may choose appeal for asking.

I just saw a picture on jetphotos of the same situation as mine, but its picture was passed. Does this mean that each photo screener understands the situation differently?

Anyway, if you have ever read the upload manual carefully, you should think that this picture is in line with the hot rules.

I am not saying you in particular appealed the rejection, generally speaking, it is a prevalent issue and it adds up to the screening time.

And that is exactly why it takes 2 weeks to get the results. People are trying to jump the queue by finding any reason to qualify for a hot photo, and then appeal the rejection, wasting senior screeners time.
None of the reasons you state justify uploading the 2nd photo as hot. We're more than glad to have the photo in the database, but no need to rush it.

It seems to me that everyone uploads their work to jetphotos for different reasons. For me personally, uploading jetphotos can improve my photography skills and retouching skills, and allow me to form my own portfolio, and it is convenient for my friends to see some of my aerial photography works. I think this new painting of Qantas Airlines is very beautiful, so I am willing to upload 2 pictures. Moreover, based on the past experience of my friends and the official upload rules given by jetphotos, this situation is acceptable. If I were to upload this picture, waiting up to 2 weeks and getting the review results quickly, I think most people would choose the latter option.
In addition, regarding the meaning of uploading photos, I think everyone's opinion should be different. Some people upload a lot of very common planes to jetphotos, many people will also question what is the meaning of his upload? But I think it's really just a love and passion for aviation. Because not everyone has the opportunity to participate in various air shows or have good luck to photograph rare aircraft in particularly good weather conditions.
Lastly I would like to say that I have been uploading my photos to jetphotos for a few years now and have seen the site improve a lot. For example, some inspection tools can be used in the new upload interface recently. But I also want to say as an ordinary uploader that we all abide by jetphotos upload rules and systems. As for the regulations on hot photos, I think it should not be determined by the subjective judgment of the photo screener, because the upload regulations have been written very clearly. If Jetphotos officials think this is meaningless, I suggest adding this provision to the uploading regulations, because this misunderstanding wastes both the time of the photographer and the time of the screener. It will benefit to everyone.
I wish you have a good day!
