I a bit confused as to what you found ambiguous in Will's answer Oliver? Perhaps he wasn't clear enough as you uploaded it as 'hot' anyway.

Quoting Omar....
We have many uploaders who try to fool us with the reasons why their photo should be hot.
Jesus H, its a hobby, not a deadline breaking, mega-bucks paying, hold the front page, I'll die if I don't get it in NOW, situation.
To quote Omar again...
But I do also think that it's not too hard to wait 2-3 days to have your pics online, at JP we really work like hell to keep the queue low so you don't have to wait 7-10 days (cough cough) to get your pics screened (no I didn't say rejected !!)
If it 'ain't broken........ Don't try to mend it !

I have a question regarding hot uploads, I uploaded a shot of Jet Airways first arrival into EWR today as hot and it was rejected. SO why was this an ok hot when it departed Brussles? http://www.jetphotos.net/viewphoto.p...6031433&nseq=4

I uploaded 3 photos, 2 of CX new first class, and 1 one CX new business class.
I uploaded them as hot because AJ said that it was.
They were accepted but not as hot. Im not trying to get hits or anything im just wondering for future refference if all screeners have to agree that it is hot or not?
Cheers
Neil.

I'm pretty sure we'll see a gazillion of SQ Cargo in the new paint scheme as well, so why accept a bad photo first?
I'm not gonna go into the discussion about what makes for a hot photo or not, but I would like to make a sugestion. Since it seems that some people use the hot qeue to - for lack of better words - jump the regular qeue, would it be an idea to make a new rejection category? The picture itself could be accepted based on the overall quality, but still be rejected because it does not qualify for a hot photo. Of course, a photo that is rejected for that reason, will still be eligible for upload in the normal qeue. Maybe that would inspire people to be more "selective" about what they put in the hot qeue. It's a bit annoying when you see pictures from certain places be accepted 2-3 days before yours even though they are ordinary pictures, taken on the same day.
Anyway, just a thougt. Now I'm ready for the pounding from you guys.If everything seems under control, you're just not going fast enough!
