Depends. Another P-51, rather not. A BF-110, P-47, P-40 or Wildcat or FW190. If there are no previous pics of the bird in the db, then it is worth a try.

      Hi,

I recently had a "hot" rejection (among other reasons) of a bizjet. The upload was under the "hot" category not because of a new reg for JP, but because it was a very recently built aircraft. It was built in Dec. 2007 and deliviered to its current (unkown) owner and registered by the end of June, less than 2 months ago. I thought that would qualify as hot being a new aircraft (but not a new model)? If not, what am I not getting (yes, I AM stupid! )

Thanx and I appologize to the screeners for me using the hot feature in the wrong way, I know it takes time off your work .. sorry!

      regards

        G'day All,

        Just so I hopefully don't waste the screeners time in the fututre;

What about something like a new deployment of visiting millitary jets to your local airport?

For example, we had some Singaporean F-16s visit Williamtown last year. Would it be ok to submit the first images I get of something like that as hot photos (if it happens in the future, not for last years F-16 photos)?

Cheers and thanks for the help.
        Motty.

I can totally understand the excitement such an event/sight generates however it wouldnt constitute a hot photo.

          Cheers - Vishal

Hi everyone... it says that a photo is hot when is't about a new type of aircraft for an airliner.

So, If an airliner have a couple of A319-112 but it receives a third one type A319-115 and this one has some differences about the -112 type it would be a Hot photo?

I'm confused about this because someone says that an aircraft with brand new winglets it would be hot, so I think that in this case, the new A319 it'd be a hot photo... wouldn't be?

              thanks a lot.

              Gatto

Nope, an A319-115 after a -112 is not a hot photo. First aircraft with winglets in a fleet, for example the first B738 with winglets, has been accepted as hot in the past.

                    Inaugural MEL-LAX run

                    Dear Screeners,

Will the Inaugural MEL-LAX run (first revenue flight) of Qantas A380 (VH-OQA) be counted as hot?

                    Regards,
                    Mehdi.

So I uploaded this as a hot photo Back in January: http://www.jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=6465473

I asked if it could be added to the ticker page. It wasn't.

A month later, this appears on the ticker page: http://www.jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=6477553

                        Why?

                          Mark,

I can only assume that the sole screener ( it was Instant Added ) continued with their screening and forgot about the ticker addition when they finished their screening session.
To make a ticker entry we have to leave the screening page, find the new accepted picture ID number ( it's different to the queue ID number ) and create the ticker. I would imagine that after a possible long run of screening it was omitted.

I am confident that the crew will allow me to offer an apology on their behalf, we are but human !
If it 'ain't broken........ Don't try to mend it !

                            Hi Brian,

                            Thanks for posting a reponse.

I noticed a ticker entry about Sun Country's first 737-700. I guess no one remembers Sun Country received two 73G's in 2001:

                            http://www.airliners.net/photo/Sun-Country-Airlines/Boeing-737-7Q8/0213306/L/

Granted they are a rare shot as none entered revenue service, but these were technically the first. Just being a nit-pick.

The hijacked CANJET flight 918 in Montego Bay returned to home base today....Halifax. Before I upload it, hot photo or not? I think probably not, but I am not 100% certain so I throw the question out to everyone.
