Hot photo use reminder!!

A P-51 came to an airfield near my city this afternoon and I got some good shots. It is the first time a Mustang comes to Toulouse and it comes from Norway. As local newspapers will look for photos of it during the next few days, and that I have a chance to get published, can I upload it as a "hot photo" ?

It's a well documented type, so unless it has a livery not previously seen it won't qualify. You could just send (low-res) copies to the newspapers and offer them to send the high-res photo at a modest fee.

Today a new airline was rolled out of the Eindhoven paintshop. Should I wait uploading till it has been added to the drop-down menu (already requested, can take 24-48 hrs), or can I upload immediately with the name of the previous operator?

Not hot. Plain white is never hot for an aircraft type that is part of the existing fleet.

BTW to our Canadian friends...the A380's new service to YYZ is not a hot photo as we have well over 70 shots of Emirates A380s in the database.

And also BTW: A photo of a crashed aircraft, taken months or years ago as for example the crashed AF A332 IS NOT HOT, and uploading as hot hoping for the huge amount of views, is in my opinion just insensitive and .... well, I'll keep the rest for myself.
