  • Photos of your spotting place..

    I thought it would be a great idea to show each other what the spotting place looks like at your airport.

    Here is mine at RWY03R - FAJS (Johannesburg Intl.) inbound from right to left after midday, as the sun will be directly behind me.

    Will upload more postions in due time.
    Every landing you can walk away from, is a good one.

              Hey Perez,

              How's the security there and such on, do you have to deal with the police in any sort ?

                You can spot without any problemes, from time to time, the police can ask you to show you're ID card, but it's rare. You just have not the right to cut the fence

                The place on the 06 is great, you can take pictures with a 15mm here

                The result

                        Just to add something when we were at AMS to Peters post.

                        [photoid=469787]

                        I saw this takin off when we were entering the Kaagbaan plane spotter place.
                        Too bad I was standing behind trees ,but luckily I shot this one when it was about cleared off from the trees and all the shite there. I ran to the spot and got this result.

                        Shows you how ideal the location for aviation photography is in Amsterdam.

                          On the grass next to the runway. I get back a bit when the jets come in. It's best when they use 19 because it's more acessible than the other end.
                          [photoid=449826]
                          On the grass also between the runway and taxiway. Almost right up on the taxiway.
                          [photoid=496502]
                          And here by the Charlie taxiway very near the CAF ramp.
                          [photoid=482955]
                          And the cool thing is that all these spots and more are all mine.
                          I'm trying to get to some more spots on either end of the runway because there is a road on the end of 19 that looks pretty good because by there, they're only maybe 50-75 feet up and on the end of 1 is the road that goes into the golf course so I'm just gonna have to check those out someday.

                            Well this spot in TPA is reffered to as the Delta Hangar, 18L/36R operations
                            [photoid=5700578]

                            This spot is called the commerce park, 18R arrivals.
                            [photoid=5611855]

                            And this is the economy lot (I'm on the right), taxi shots, 36R departures as well as arrivlas but those happen about once every three years.

                            "Sorry Goose, but it's time to buzz the tower!"
