  • A380 - Some On the Ground Shots EGLL

These were taken by a member of my forums www.seatcupra.net who works at the airport. Only a 2MP cam but it gives you a good idea of the amount of action going on at Heathrow when it arrived.

Awesome pictures. The second truck there, is that one of those two-storey trucks ?

Looks pretty cool to see photos of it in LHR .... Nice found.

Thats cool. I guess this is the new models, made for A380 or was this an old model also made for the 747 upper level ?

Anyway Got a question to our members who are ground-personell rats at airports.

I have always wondered what are this yellow's purpose, ???

The yellow thing is in fact ground power. Keeps from having loose, heavy cable being dragged by ground crew out to aircraft, keeps the ground area neat and tidy and minimizes strain on the workers.

^I had read a feature on Arlanda in Air Picturial years ago. The reporter pointed out this feature. Good to see it's spreading slowly but surely from Scandinavian airports.
