    Acceptable?

cool shot, I think I saw a similar plane today while watching them fly overhead. Is Quantas the only carrier with the red tail?

Hi Eric, well it is probably just acceptable in its current form but only just. Three things I would try and address. Firstly the crop, its too wide for me, I would go for a 4:3 crop. Second, its slightly noisy probably due to sharpening. Either neat Image it or perhaps a touch of smart blur on the sky only. Third tighten up the levels a little and add a little saturation and a small amount of contrast ( clone out the dust spot just below the tail ). Contrail shots follow a totally different process to 'normal' aviation shots and in the end it does come down to what the photographer wants his portray with his/her image. As usual here is one I made earlier -

I didn't take the shot, though I wish I did. I was listening to a KC-135 refuel I believe a KC-10. I heard the pilot of the KC-10 call out a DC-10 flying underneath them and the boom operator call "tally ho"

I'll have to keep looking, my contrail shots are never good enough to post

Thanks guys and Jid, I'll go through those edits you suggested.

And while we're on the subject after looking at those watermarks, whats the ruling on that?

                      The rule is:

You can apply a watermark to your image BUT if it is visible in the thumbnail then it will get a motive rejection.

                      Jid.

                            Looks hot in my opinion.

What direction is this anyway ? Northbound ?
