  • New Feature: Spotting Groups

    Hi all,

JetPhotos.Net proudly presents a new feature for our community of aviation photographers: Spotting Groups. We all have seen, heard or even belong to a group of friends that get together to form a spotting group, such as the The Hong Kong Spotters, Madeira Spotters, Iberian Spotters, etc…

JetPhotos.Net would like to help these spotting groups promote their photos. We have started with the following features:

    • A Spotting Group profile page where information of the group is displayed, this information includes:

      • Group Name
      • Group Logo
      • Website
      • Contact Email
      • The 3 most popular photos of the group
      • The list of all photographers who are members of the spotting group, with their photo statistics

      Example: http://www.jetphotos.net/showphotos.php?group_id=2

    • You will be able display all the photos of your group members, with the logo of the spotting group on top of the page. http://www.jetphotos.net/showphotos.php?group_id=2

    • Below each member’s name, the group name will appear with a link to all the photos of the group.

    • When viewing a large photo, the group logo will appear below the photo.

    • Each member profile will also have the logo of the Spotting group he/she belongs to.

So far we only have three groups. http://www.jetphotos.net/members/groups.php

To create a new Spotting group please read http://www.jetphotos.net/members/newgroups.php .

We hope to hear from you in any more ways we can improve this feature.

    Best regards,

    Gabe

Well the fact that it must be non-profit sort of puts my group out, oh well

Great idea, this makes it very easy to get in touch with local spotters, given that they do sign up their group.

Dang, no fellow Alaskan spotters here to form a group with Maybe I will start one.

PS: I found a typo on the spotting groups page. Under info needed to create a group it says you instead of your.
