  • What airline/aircraft is this?

Flew over BNA yesterday, this is about the clearest contrail shot I've taken...lol
EDIT: Looks like a 757 to me...but I'm still unsure about the airline.

That's kinda what I was thinking, but if you look close it has winglets...so it could be an Airbus in USAir new colors?

I think you're right Bobby it really looks like an Airbus to me. 752's look a little more slender.

Unless US has secretly purchased A321's in their fleet.

US has had A321's for a while.

This ThreeTwoOne above has grey engines whereas the one shot by bobby has blue.

              Possibly still a 757 .....?

I'd be pretty sure it's a US Airways 757, it lacks the rounded horizontal stab of the Airbus.

The appearance of 'winglets' is most likely the post manufature logo lights fitted to some US/HP 757s.

I'm very sure it is a US airways 752 in the new colors. There is still a chance I am wrong though.

US 321s haven't been painted in new colors yet so it would have to be a 752

Should this topic be pinned for future use on helping people identify overflying jets they are unsure of what it is? or just any plane in particular?

I don't know what lead people to think it was a 321. Despite the fact that US hasn't painted any 321's in the new colors, I see how the aircraft above looks anything like a 321.

Good point, Dan. I just wasn't sure if it would help just to have one topic as opposed to people posting multiple topics asking what a certain aircraft/airline it is...

                              Thanks again everyone
