  • More people are viewing photos at j.net!

It maybe my imagination, although I don't think so, but the number of people visiting and viewing photos at j.net has dramatically increased all of a sudden. WHY?

I uploaded my first photo on Dec 23rd here. Since then I have uploaded at a pretty contsant rate for the last six months.

On Sunday eveing I had approx. 70,000 views. Today it is Tuesday evening, and it lies at 76,000

You do the maths, but to me, it doesn't take a genius to work out that more and more are paying j.net a visit!

Anyone else experiencing the same phenom?

    Andrew

    Andy,

Unique visitors to JP have, over the past two weeks to a month, skyrocketed, from 4000-5000/day to upwards of 14,500 yesterday, and a pace for nearly 20,000 today!

I can't say I understand it, but I've been watching our referrer links on the tracking software, and it seems that on almost every Google/AOL/Yahoo! search having anything to do with aircraft, links to JetPhotos.Net are in the top 1-5 search results.

I've been screening quite a bit lately, between programming new features, and I've been impressed by the increase in photo quality -- including from a number of long-time uploaders -- over recent months.

You guys who upload are far more responsible for the success this site enjoys than anything I've done.

Not sure what the norm is here but I have been very pleased with the amount of views from the images I have uploaded.
      Photo Stats: Air2Air

Air2Air currently has 307 photos in the database. The photos have been viewed a total of 162921 times, for an average of 530.69 views per photo.

Listed below are all photos in the database by Air2Air. The list is sorted to show the most popular photos first, by default. Click on the column headings to sort the list by other criteria.
Not sure what date I started uploading but still quite a few views. The more we tell people about the site the more popular it will become. Besides its a lot better atmosphere here as I have said before.

Although I am not a big airliner type fan I get a real kick out of looking up at big jets as they land. One of my fav spots I have found is in the back of the limo parking lots at the city end of LAX, the right runway.

Its great, you can park right underneath the flightpath and by the time they come over you they are only a couple of hundred feet above, if that. Havent been told I cant be there yet so its a good little place to go. Basically its behind where the taxis and limos have their big waiting area.

Congratulations, the quality is really skyrocketing here and with that the number of views has increased.

If you look at the stats page, it shots the average views per photo on the site. That average has gone up from around 181 to 188 in the last couple of weeks.

Not sure of the reality but Alexa shows a dramatic rise in popularity for j.net (up over 12000 places) and a fall in a.net popularity (down over 300 places) in the last 6 weeks or so.

I think as the j.net name is getting out there and the popularity will continue to rise. Many of us are out there plugging the j.net name to everyone we deal with and word of mouth advertising is the best type.
