  • Like father like son..I hope! (and thanks j.net!)

    Hi Guys,

    [photoid=116209]

Couldn't resist uploading this one. I noramlly take my son to ZRH on the weekend, he plays on the rides, I photograph the planes.

Sometimes he brings his toy camera with him and pretends to be like Daddy. I couldn't resist a picture of him "in action" and thought that actually the boy has potential! Also, he is smart enough to take a photo of his father's favourite aircraft type. For a 3 year old, that's pretty good going.

Also to add, a big thanks to j.net for allowing these type of photos, which I am sure everyone appreciates. OK, technically it's flawed, but it makes this father the proudest guy on the planet

    Hi Andy,

I know what you mean...........my daughter at 16 months already looks up at the sky when she hears a plane, and loves going to the airport, she follows all the planes round with her eyes................That's Daddy's girl

I'm lucky that my wife and daughter normally come with me on my trips, so I get quality family time and photo time all in one go.

Looks like your young fella is a chip off the old block

    Regards

      Hi Andy,

He seems to be better than his Dad :P . He knows what to do not to get obstructing foreground clutter like guard-rails!

Its great to see new blood. You should get him a small dig-cam and see what happends. My 3 year old has surprised me. I might take him with me, never thought ot it. Especially like Garry's daughter, mine can differentiate a jet with a prop, and calls the Jet just plane, but when its a prop he calls it a Binter.

      Cheers

Andy I am glad to see that and know something you should be feeling more than proud.

See? That is why I love this site.....the other sites *cough* would not allow those kind of pictures.

          To little andy.

unfortunately I havnjt got kids, I think im gonna give that a few years, but its great seeing pics like the ne Andy took, makes me wonder what I will be like in later life.

Im working my way with my Girlfriend, she never liked planes and now shes more than happy to spend a day at the airport with me, even taking the odd photo, of which I think I will upload for her!

Thanks for the replies Guys. Julian is thrilled to have his photo on the net. We are going to ZRH this morning, once he wakes up and the battle between me taking photos and supervising his rides begins again.

I do hope that one day he would follow me into the hobby, but I'm also realistic that there are so many forms of entertainment available these days that he make choose other pursuits. But if he does get in aviation, makes bargaining for airport visits with the wife an easier discussion (i.e. take him off your hands for a whole day!)

Ahhhh, cute!! It reminds of my 2-years old daughter. She loves aircraft! A pitty, that we can't go to the airport today.

Now, Andrew, please do Julian a favour and get him a CANON

This one.........EC-GMU. It was at the hangar area but then moved. The all white one still sits around!

I didn't know, they are still flying an A310 around. The other one is parked there since months already.

Gerardo, you disobeyed the #1 rule in aviation photography. GO. Go even if you think it will be boring, even if the weather sucks, even if there isnt anything interesting scheduled. Chances are you will miss something special if you dont!

I know, but I'm not the only one planning my sparetime. In fact, the biggest part of my sparetime is controlled by my government ... sorry, my wife :P

I'll end here. Otherwise we'll start a topic of missed chances.....

                              Cheers
