Phoenix/LAX Spotting advice

Dear All
I am visiting Phoenix and LA in Sept,could someone please let me know of any decent areas to get decent photos from at either airports.
Could someone please give me directions to the In n Out Burger bar and Imperial Hill by car,and what would the best times of day be regarding light issues.
Also i have heard there are some decent areas on car parks overlooking the runways at Phoenix,is this right,plus what is the situation with local security there.

There are 3 carparks to shoot from at PHX, all good at different times of day and for different angles. Shouldn't have a prob with security there. I spotted there for 3 days earlier this year and wasn't approached once in this time.

Imperial Hill

Theres a flag pole, binoculars and chairs somewhere to the right of Main St on East Imperial Ave.

In 'N' Out

Not so sure about this one, I think its in that little bit of land inside West 92nd St . Someone will know
