  • Miracles do happen!

I couldn’t believe how nice this pic turned out given that it was taken
On a fairly terrible £40 1.3MP camera by my wife at Fairford Airshow

        Fairford was great if windy.

Had a prime position, right at the touchdown markers for the runway

It was certainly better than last year…Jwenting did you go on the Sunday? It wasn’t too windy on the Saturday although I do remember the Junkers Ju-52 looking a bit shaky as it took off! I was on the grass in front of the grandstand but I would of liked to of been closer to the front but I got there a bit late. I now have to wait patiently until pay day to get the 4 films I took developed!

I went, and was also very near the touchdown markers - just a little further up from them. Couple of sample pics here... just a sneak peek of whats to follow if the ones I've sent in get accepted........

I've sent in a couple which are 800 pixels wide, but I keep getting a message saying that they're too narrow to be in the database as they're under the minimum figure. The minimum it says is 800, and they are exactly 800 wide. Any ideas why it's being like this? I suppose I'll have to go and resize them for the third time!

LN Strike Eagle, They are nice looking pictures..you obviously put a lot of thought into them, me however, being a newbie to this, have to rely on luck and learn but I’m pleased with a few shots from the one film I’ve had processed so far which was my “only use this film in emergencies” 400ISO film I normally use for astrophotography. Still if only I could master focusing then things would be happier. Any way here’s a few I’m not too embarrassed to show in public…

Me thinks the Red Arrows one looks the nicest!

Was there on saturday. Not all that much wind (10-15 knots) but almost directly perpendicular to the runway making for tricky takeoffs and landings.

Shot the flying display on film, but here's one of my fav shots of the static show:

too bad no concorde turned up but the Stealth/Reds flypast was great too.

                      pics to come!

                          Working on it.
First 20 or so in the queue already, more to follow and once the slides are gone that will be hundreds more I think
