Joe, go to Jessops on-line and try and buy a 'Lense'.
    You won't find any. :P

      Hi Joe

that 'gate' down at Lochend Road has been closed for a while
I know, but there's no need to go through it anyway. Walk back 30 yard towards the sewage treatment works entrance gate for a better angle on 06 evening arrivals.

(Still can't see singular 'lense' on Jessops, only the plural 'Lenses')
You might have to draw me a diagram.
That other Canon thread has 'Lens' in abundance!

        dust

        Hi,

I'd like to comment on what Colin said about the fact that a smaller aperture can make dust more visible. This is true, but only for dust in/on the lens or anywhere INBETWEEN the subject of your photograph and the sensor (like insects for example. They often show up in my pics. Grr...) . The sensor itself doesn't care about the aperture or anything in front of it. It will simply pick up any image that falls onto it. If there is dust on the sensor, it will show ALL THE time, even if you take a picture without a lens (if possible)!

        Cheers,
        Eduard
