Once Again, What's Going On?

Flame me, diss me, what ever but I think something is against me for me getting a ticker, it happened again and while I was cool with it, something which just got a ticker today for literally the same motive made me start this up:

Today, FFAS got a ticker for a plain A320 with a red tail that in miniature says on the top 3000th A320.

Last Saturday, I got nothing for a Copa EMB-190 with special detail on its nose depicting its 200th Embraer 170/190 Family built, I even asked a screener which is a friend of mine, and told me that the other screeners agreed not to place it for ticker, I was cool with it and wasn't going to say anything, but if things like this happen, I think is unfair, plus to add its my third time with a special shot for Jp and getting no credit.

I probably get the whole world screaming at me but I just find it unfair.

The A320 is wearing a completely different color scheme, than the usual AirAsia, huge difference. That's mainly why the screeners decided differently, than on your photo.

In addition, as a personal note, 3000 is another milestone, than 200.

BTW, Tomas, your sig under the username says "JP Elite Crew Member", i.e. you are pretending to be a crew member, which is not true. Please remove that title, before we have to do it.

You first point is a valid one but the livery isn't even completed so it could bear (and probably will) the regular AirAsia livery for the A320 with the exception of its tail, in which you could refer to my TACA A320 with its regular scheme and its special tail, which also got no recognizement what so ever. A 3000 milestone compared to a 200 milestone is not much of a diference, both are milestones and I guess a company as hard working as Embraer is should deserve some recognizement along with Airbus too, you know what the feeling is after sometimes working hard to spot a special livery and not getting any recognizement other than the photo being accepted just like any other one. I have only ever had one ticker and that was for the first Copa E190 and guess what? It was not put until I asked a screener and he kindly put it, if it wasn't for him, it would have never been displayed. I am a good contributor to this site and I am not taking shots for quantity, I am taking them for speciality and dedication, that's what makes me so ambitous to keep on doing this great hobby and sometimes a little recognizement makes your feel better and continue with this great hobby. As for the signiture, I didn't see what was wrong with it, after all I am an Elite Member.

don't play the hard done by tactic Tomas, your request was given due consideration and it was seen as inappropriate by the powers that be. It's not the end of the world, your contribution is valued, your assumption that it's unfair is unqualified and uncalled for.

if you upload to get a ticker then you're uploading for the wrong reasons, 1 ticker is 1 more then some have received in 4+ years of uploading.

I always wonder: do you take photos for your enjoyment, or is this some kind of competition? Remembering back some of the episodes involving you and some other local spotters, I guess, it's a competition.

If we see a photo, which is news worthy, it gets a ticker. Your shot simply wasn't enough news worthy, period.

Exactly, you are an Elite Member, but not a CREW member. So, please, change it.

I don't spot for competition, I spot when I want to and when I know nice stuff is headed this way, the fact that I am very happy and lucky sometimes to get rare shots doesn't make it a competition. Previous episodes are different and the circumstances are diferrent, I'm not getting into that now.

I wont rant again for a ticker or any other unfairness since I'm never going to win, I will continue to spot and take photos and maybe someday I'll really get something newsworthy, for now, magazines take care of that.

The titles have been changed since you told me the first time, are you still seeing it? I never thought something like that would be controversial.

I am not spotting for tickers, if I was then SJO wouldn't be the place to start for, we rarely get "news worthy" stuff here, this was just sheer luck along with the last special things I have spotted, I do know some spotters who upload just for this but thats another story which I'm not getting into.

speaking as a consumer not a crew member, with no tickers or SCs or anything else either I would just like to say---GROW UP.
Fairness is not the issue here but rather the potential interest in your photo. Cluttering the forums with silly complaints is just is just a pain for the rest of us who would like to read something worthwhile.

Look Melvin, I don't want to fight with you or anything, I don't want to fight with anybody, just let me continue to enjoy my hobby peacefully as I let you do, I never get involved in anything against you or have done anything bad against you and I will never will. About that badge, I have long destroyed it which explains why you haven't seen it recently, and FYI it did NOT say Jp.net Offical Photographer, it didn't even have JP on it, it just said PHOTO in large red letters on the side, a photo of me and my ID number, I can find the design and post it here if you want.

Gabe, please don't worry, I neved made such a badge depicting it, Melvin hasn't even seen it, he was told by somebody, I am looking for the design to post it here and I did make it with the purposes of standing out while spotting at the beach near helicopters since a couple of pilots once were mad at me since I was spotting their helicopters, since I had made it, those problems had gone away.

Well if you look at my signiture, see the JP.Net font there, that is what I was talking about and also the replies there explain why I never made such a thing and opted for the SJO Spotter on my signiture, which clearly is using the Jp.net font.
