  • Aviation Photography And Yours Partners?

    Hey Guys,

    Thought I would set this topic going as my girlfriend has just got her first photo onto the jp.net database!

    Do you take your partner to the airport when you go for photography? What do they think of your hobby? Do they get involved with it in any way?

    Will be great to hear your responses.

    This is the photo she took.

    [photoid=121611]

    She now enjoys coming with me to the airport, especially if its sunny, so she can relax and try to tan lol. I get her to help with my logs, when im photographing some important aircraft she logs down any registration she sees for me. Im still to get her onto an aircraft! As she is scared of flying, but she has agreed to going to DUB for a day as the flight is short so she can see how it is flying, she has never flown before, that really explains her fear.

    After a trip to DUB she then has the option of going to New York for a week, or Cyprus for two weeks next year.

        I sometimes get the company of the other half at the weekends.
        ....and she's not interested in 'planes in the slightest...

        Her face is usually buried in a magazine or a book whilst sitting in the car or it's just an excuse to take the dog for a run around the perimeter fence.

          i go with my mum, she is a keen aviation enthusiast or i take the snaps while at work.

          my partner has done aviation courses and is cabin crew, she is keen on photography but i cant get her to come take photos of planes.

          might have to work on that!

            I took my ex girlfriend to Gravelly Point at DCA on sunny day. We just sat down on the grass watching the planes land overhead while we were cuddling together. I didn't have my camera with me, just my eyes.

            My current girlfriend loves aviation and admires me photos on this site. When we get married we're both gonna spot at airports worldwide. And she will be a Nikon D2H shooter.

                I forgot to mention that my girlfriend Heather is a pilot also. We're thinking about owning a twin engine plane someday and do our flights together. I just need to get my A&P within 5 years.

                        No partner to go spotting with except my Dad. Who today got his first photo accepted on his first upload. My dad used to shoot back when he was my age just for fun more than anything. Going to go through his slides in the next couple days and I might be able to pull out some old connies and such.
                        Anyways here is his first:
