  • Gate Photos-Yes or No?

    Hello everyone!
Just wondering, are photos with portions of or whole jetways, tugs, other gate equiptment, etc. acceptable? I'm talking ones like this- (excuse other photographical errors for the moment)

    As always, thanks a bunch.
    A.M.

    1. Not level
    2. Somewhat over exposed on top

But I think pics like that are acceptable as long as there isn't much clutter. That looks ok IMO, but I'm not a screener.

Other than the errors with the photo, that portion of jetway would be fine, unless it takes your attention away from the plane.

I had one rejected, which I thought was a decent pic of just what goes into making an aircraft ready to fly, for too much foreground clutter.

As you can see, it was a shot from above with the aircraft being loaded on both sides and also the walkway attached.

I could understand the rejection in a way but I did explain my motive in the comments and it didnt make any difference.

I reckon yours will be fine though as nothing is obstructing the view of the main body of the aircraft (sorry, forgot to say that before!).

                  Star Alliance,

Once edited should be fine, there's nothing clutter wise in the way.

Yeah as Mark pointed out, the usual problem with these types of shots are the clutter issues that are associated with taking photos in these sort of circumstances. If you can avoid them (and get the technical aspects correct) then you should be fine.

Pictures of tugs, and jetbridges and other ground equipment are not really acceptable on this site though.

Here's a good example of "too much clutter".
