  • Help - Canon 350D focus points

    Hey guys.

I have sold my old 350D (which worked correct without faulty bfore I sold it.)
Yesterday he called me about the focus points on that camera. He said that it doesnt focus well on its left side focus points. I checked the camera today and he was right. The problem is that I could see the red dot when you do the half-pressed button to focus, doesn't blink inside the boxes.

    Here's a picture of it.
When I press the button halfway, normally it blink inside the focus "box" but it seemed to have jumped in between the left point and the far left side point and I dont get the red dot anymore inside the boxes. Does anyone know what I can do about this ??

I really hope anyone can help me.

Strange. Is it just the red indicator lights that are not working, or does the camera actually fail to focus on objects covered by those points? If it's just the red lights it shouldn't be such a problem in practice.

I think it could be a good idea to ask the question here... http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/board/2

Definitly looks strange and never heard anything like that happening to others...

@ Charles, It fails on focussing on things on the left side. I double-checked it by turning it on (first the right side and then the left side).

Thanks Alex. For the link. Yeah, neither did I. It is very strange. Anyway I'll redirect my camera problem over at the Fredmiranda instead.

        Have a good day
