This one was rejected for bad quality?????

Personally, I don't see what's so bad quality about it.

And this one was rejected for Bad motive???
JetPhotos.com is the biggest database of aviation photographs with over 5 million screened photos online!

What's the bad motive? I took the picture to show the point from where the aircraft initiated the go around? What do you mean - "bad motive!"

    Photo 1:

There is something resembling a 737 blocking the view of half of the subject of the photo, the 747.

    Photo 2:

This photo shows nothing, except half a window frame, and the fact that the go around took place relatively near some water and rocks.

      Tan,

The first one just has a kind of dullness to it. It looks like it was taken through a dirty window at noon time. There is a big dark smudge or something on the left side. If it had been taken at a different time of day, and if you leveled it (the poles are leaning) it would probably get in.

The second one really has no focal point. The fact that you had to "go around" is not significant. Kind of like taking a picture of nothing and saying, well that is what was outside the window! See my point? Maybe if a flock of birds was flying across your frame and you said.. "these birds caused the pilot to execute a missed approach because they were in our way..." would make the shot more interesting. Also, that window frame being all blurry kills the shot.

The subject of the first photo is not only the 747, but the 737 as well. The picture shows 2 aircraft, not just one.

In the second picture, the water and rocks just happen to be right next to the runway.

And speaking of "water and rocks", how about all thos pics taken from the air which show nothing but "water and land"?

And you mean to say that if in the first picture I entered the 737 in the aircraft field and China Airlines in the Airline field, it would be acepted?

Because there's nothing blocking the 737.

The main subject of the photo though is the 74. And it is blocked by a large object that happens to be a 73.

Tanuj, so called "Wing views" that do not show a wing or part of the aircraft (excluding a blurry window frame) are rejected if they don't show anything on the ground related to aviation, or another aircraft air-to-air.

Had you included the wing in the second one, and less of the window frame (which takes up over 1/4 of the shot!) it mostlikely would have been accepted.

I have to agree with indian airlines on the first shot. In MY OPINION, those kind of shots where another aircraft blocking a part of another aircraft, should not automatically be considered unacceptable, I think this one is acceptable just because the 737 is dwarfed by the 747 and I enjoy looking at it. About the dark smudge, it took me a while to find it, and it is fixable. See...

As for the second one, I have to agree with the screener, it doesn't show why you had a go-around, and try next time to catch part of the wing if you can. Photos like those, I consider my personal photos and keep them for myself to enjoy.

Should I consider appealing the first pic?

Also, i undertand why the second pic was rejected, but there really was nothing I could do about it, I was sitting in business class, so the wing was behind me.

I'm still mad about the first pic being rejected though. It's not like the 747 is being blocked by a pole or anything. An aircraft partially blocked by another aircraft should be acceptable.
