KMOD, Modesto Plane Spotting???

    KMOD, Modesto Plane Spotting???

    Ok well I'm in California right now me and my mom are driving out from San Jose to Modesto to visit some family, and my mom said she'd let me plane spot at KMOD. But I have no idea where I could plane spot at Modesto??? Please if anyone knows anything please share some insight I'm aware this isn't a very large airport but any input is greatly appreciated.

    A little late I suppose seeing as you're in Austin again, but if you asked me I would have told you there is a road right next to the runways where you can pull over and take pictures of approaches or departures. Though the only commercial flights into there are the Skywest Embraer 120s.

      Yeah... Oh well we didn't end up going to KMOD anyways we didn't have much time but we did end up going to KLVK but none of my shots are good enough for JP.net due to the lighting...

        KLVK? Nice airport, I always go up there to practice slow-flight and stalls. Never landed there yet but did a low pass on 25L, do they have any biz jets or anything there, Justin? If they do I'll bring my camera next time.

          Yeah actually I saw some netjets Citations and there were some nice big gulf streams and they have a nice little deck raised up about 10feet for good spotting but it is only good to spot there in the evening... there were about 5 to 10 biz jets when I was there.

              No prob, also the Observation deck is right next to the Control Tower/ FAA parking lot in there for the controllers...

                Well I think seeing as I'll be flying in myself I'll be able to roam the ramp a bit, but thanks.
