How can improve my photo so it gets added?

Hi,

I recently sent a photo of a British Airways Boeing 777 (G-VIIH) that I took at Denver. Personally, I really like this photo, but the screeners said that it had an improper motive and needed improvement. It was rejected for the following reasons: [font=verdana][size=2] - Obstructing Objects / Foreground Clutter
- Horizon unlevel

IMHO You should try avoiding the window-frame in the middle of the photo, as well as the truck on the right side, which is blocking 1/4 of the aircraft.

For leveling the shot, you can use any vertical line, such as the ATC tower at the background for example. Good luck.

you definately need to avoid the window frame pictures. could also try to take pictures of A/C as they take off/land at airports from parking garages, fields, etc. www.Spotterswiki.com has a bunsh of helpful info for spotting locations. if you are in an airport, again avoid window frames in the picture, try to avoid any vehicles, and a pretty fool proof way to get a photo accepted take a pic of the cabin. now it still can get rejected for level, contrast, etc. but it is a lt easier to get accepted. the JP database will also give you a of great ideas. if you can't find a photo like it in the DB then it will most likely get rejected. Thank you for the pointers. I understand that the window frame in the middle ruins the picture, but this photo of a United Boeing 777 on JP.net is kind of similiar to mine and it has window frames in the middle. Is there anyway that with some improvements I could get this photo accepted even with the window frame in the picture.

the UA one has window glare, the nose is cut off. i don't know how that got in. the second one of yours is somewhat blurry and the color is a bit off so i think it is a lost cause. don't feel bad though because i've been trying for 2 years now and have yet gotten one accepted. what kind of camera do you have? and do you have PS? if you can show us some of your other photos we might be able to give you the pros and cons of those and then you can learn from those.

Hi Rohan, I would suggest deleting your two photos from the queue as they will not be accepted unfortunately. The shot you linked has two things going for it.....1. The windows frame the subject and put the viewer in that gate lounge, 2. It was accepted five years ago and would not be accepted now!

You would be better off hosting photos you are asking for help on, on a third party website instead of putting them in the queue and then asking advice.

Definatly a no go. The side of the fuesalage in the light is totaly blown out. Dont give up though, keep trying and listen to the advice and dont be afraid to ask for help and you will get there.
What camera do you use? The best bit of advice ive ever herd is that the best way to improve is to take more photos.
