Haha! Beat you to it. That's what it looks like to me. Or it could be the gate numbers but who's that stupid?

they probably needed a repacement winglet and all they had in reserve at that moment was a brown painted one...

You all look at the winglet, I look at the fact that there dozens of puddles of water on the tarmac, and yet not a single luggage piece has been thrown into one .

Just a curious question (since Im making a airport diorama) That white thing that runs down alongside the stairs, what is that, I can clearly see the stairs closer to the jetbridge but that white thing leaves me clueless. I've never seen that before.

                Thanks for your help.

Btw I dont get the picture, but Im guessing that it has something to do with the winglet too.

That is the slide for excess carryon baggage, Strollers, Wheelchairs, Etc that cannot be stored properly in the main cabin. This one is just covered to protect the items from rain and snow that happens on rare occasions in chicago

As for the winglet i thought this was SWA's return to the old "Corn dog" color scheme LOL

Nope, this would be Southwest's policy of hireing one person to do 50 jobs. Right now he's emptying the sh*tters, before he jumps in the push back truck and gets that heap moving then races up to the cockpit for pre-taxi checks and the welcome aboard announcement.....

Yes and this is what keeps Southwest as a business leader in efficiency and profitability.

In the faint hope that I might find a witty repartee to the above I googled "Southwest accidents." Wikipedia came up with three non fatal incidents, two involving runway excursions.....

.....and this third one. The part I've highlighted in red made me smile.

On August 11, 2000, passenger Jonathan Burton broke through the cockpit door aboard Southwest Airlines Flight 1763 while en route from Las Vegas to Salt Lake City. In their own defense, the other passengers restrained Burton who later died of the resulting injuries.
If it 'ain't broken........ Don't try to mend it !
