  • Check Your Categories: Part Deux (II)

I have just received 2 very angry emails.

And well, I am displeased to say the least. People are complaining or asking why their photos are getting rejected when they are technically OK. For the last time to anyone who has NOT heard this. NOT checking the appropriate or checking the WRONG one will earn you a rejection card.

That is not to say that for some of us who simply forget itll be checked off (I think the screeners know who forgets and who doesnt care the least)

Its driving me nuts that ive just screened about 20 C172 shots and not one was checked "Small Prop" and just before that several cargo 747s that one photog (names withheld) simply didnt care to check "Cargo Plane"

PLEASE PLEASE do not forget to check those categories. They are there for a simple reason, to make searching the database easier.

If thou gets a category rejection and tries to argue that he/she thought they were optional (Me and Chris got that many times in Emails) We will simply tell you to read the upload page rules.

In the edit photo information while still in the queue it might be helpful if we (the photog's) can make sure we have checked them. Or if we forgot we can add them instead of waiting for the rejects.

Just throwing my .02 in here. If a category is not chked that shouldn't be grounds for rejecting. If a category is chked that shouldn't then that should be regarded as bad info. Or else why should a photo be rejected for not chking cargo yet the reg can be left blank and the photo is still accepted.
Try to catch me flyin dirty...

The reg can be left blank because you CANT see it in some shots. If you cant see that the airplane is a cargo plane you have to be blind..

If a category is checked that shouldnt be it files under Failer/ERROR to select right categories.

Greg: That will probably be implemented in the future

            Thanks.

The categories are part of the info. They serve a purpose, if they didn't have one they wouldn't be there. the screeners job isn't to checkboxes--it's to make sure we all checked them correctly (and other stuff also) So the point is check the boxes because it isn't that hard.

              No way Andy,

Not checking categories is one of my pet peeve's. I dont have much patience for people who ignore the rules when they are C:EARLY stated on the same page.
