I took this photo of a UA Airbus A319 in Newark, I have improved the contrast a little and lightly sharpened the photos. Could anyone give me anymore suggestions.
I understand that the photo is a little oversharp and I can easily fix that, but I really don't understand the need for the counter-clockwise rotation. Should I crop out the jetway from the original picture? Also, I'm not real clear on what you mean by I should use "selective contrast" on the sky. I have Adobe Photoshop CS2 and would appreciate if could explain what you meant.

There is a distinct "lean" to the right which needs correcting.
Hi,
I have been trying forever to rotate the photo, but everytime I do it makes the rest of the photo look disalgned. If I remember correctly, when the plane came into the gate at a rightward angle, so I wondering if this could be the reason I can't fix it. I would be greatful, if someone could show me how to rotate the photo because I really can't do it properly.
Rohan,
I'm new to Aviation photography, and I'm not familiar with CS2, but I'd like to try and assist in some small way.
I use Nikon Capture NX, which has a very neat "auto" alignment tool. According to my attempts in NX, to have the "horizon" in your image closer to horizontal it needs a CCW rotation of about -0.52 degrees.
CS2 likely should have an option to allow you to enter such a value for rotation CCW.
I have been working a little more on this photo such as, reducing the exposure, sharpening it, and fixing that "lean." What else can do to it, to improve it? Also, is it possible if I fix it, for this photo to get accepted into the database?
While your first version was oversharp, this one is a bit soft. Also, it could do with a tad more light, but don't re-edit your already edited version as this will bring out the noise...
Just a quick question, how do I lighten up the photo? Do I increase/reduce the exposure or do something else? I have photoshop CS2, so if someone could tell me how to do that, I would be greatful. I'm selectively sharpening the origina photo right now and should have another version done in a few days.
