  • Pirated images from Jetphotos

Without naming names, there is a guy that is trying to submit images copied off Jetphotos to another aviation photo database.

He was getting away with it until he started submitting images with watermarks on them, specifically from this site. We are now detecting him and deleting the images as they are uploaded for screening, so thankfully the integrity of your work is being maintained.

This has taught me the value of watermarks and placing them over a significant part of the aircraft. So I would urge you to watermark your images whenever possible.

Can you tell us to wich other aviation photo database he is or was uploading the stolen photos?

I'd love to check, if there are a few of mine there. Can you please post the link to this forum? Also, if you don't want to reveal his name, you can post a link to his photos

And BTW: thanks for taking care so far!
