    Hi!!!

    I will be at CDG in the first week of may.

    I have heard some friend that have talk to me about the use of scanner at CDG.

    Is it illegal or not??

      Yet here in Manchester and in most of the UK, you can use a scanner to listen to aircraft.

            Here in italy is illegal but if you listen it with an headphone seems that you are listening the radio and it's ok.

            Also, at ZHR there is a big speaker that when you press the button you can listen tower communications.

              I never had any problems when using my scanner, but sometimes security guards ask me if I'm able to contact with TWR or planes with my radio...

                Listening to ATC transmissions is not illegal as long as you are not braodcasting it and as long as the a/b radio is a recieve only one
