    G'evening all...

    Just got my upgraded lens which is awesome news. it is an ..wait for it..

    AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor 70-300 mm f4.5-5.6G IF-ED

    off to LHR tommorow to try it out...however on reading the manual I have a question...

    In the Active mode, the VR reduces horizontal vibrations only. Fine... but what happens when you are panning at an angle?? how would you deal with it then??

    Thanks

          Active is for use when you are in a ( for instance ) moving vehicle or are pointing the lens up at extreme angles and including extreme up/down movement.

          For any kind of use at LHR use the following settings....

          VR = "On"
          set to "Normal"

          Trust yer' uncle Brian, I've been there, (LHR that is)
          I've got one !
          It works !!
          Don't listen to the "Canonites" !!! They can't help being dinosaurs, bless 'em !
          If it 'ain't broken........ Don't try to mend it !

                Not sure what happens when you are panning at an angle though, just try

                cheers, Pamela
