What airshows will you attend in 2008?

Hi guys and gals,

It is that time of the year again, airshow season is coming up. I think we have not had a thread yet this year, at least I was unable to find one using the search function. Anyway would be nice to know what airshows JP users are going to attend. As for me, I'll be at the following events:

- KLu Open Dagen, Leeuwarden 20/21 June
- RIAT, Fairford 12/13 July

If anybody else is going, it would be a pleasure to meet up!

I went to the Biggin Hill Airfair yesterday ( 7th June ).

Got some good shots which I'll be boring the screeners with soon...but I couldn't help feeling that the show is a very much watered down affair from what it used to be. No Red Arrows...but an excellent formation display from the Breitling L39's.
Nice to see the Indian Air Force "Sarang" helicopter display team and the fighters from various era's including Spitfire, Mustang and F86. I left early at about 3.00 pm due to failing light and a need to finish off home decorating. Hopefully the Sunday display will enjoy better weather ( it is as I write ).

I remember the Biggin Hill airshow from when I was living at my parents place. They live about 3 miles from the airfield and we used to get a great display from our house. The arrows would often fly straight over the house and I remember the Vulcan doing its display too.

This year I should be attending RIAT on the sunday and Farnborough on the saturday. I usually try and get to Waddo too but unlikely this year.

No Red Arrows....

That might be an exception since the Reds are on their North America tour at the moment flying displays in Canada and the US.

Air Britain Fly in at North Weald.
Maybe flying Legends at Duxford but i dont know looking at the flying list at the moment.

I'll probably be going to Aero Expo next week. Are you coming for the RAF Halton Moth Rally? Apparently meant to be good lol. I saw your pics the other day and I see you're really interested in vintage aviation so the Moth rally might float your boat...(or fly ur plane )

I'm definately coming to old warden when I get a car... I know one of the display pilots there, if nothing else then only to meet him lol.
