                  Yeah, those cruel GE90-115B monsters did it in! But hey it was my fault for standing bang behind the airplane bound for LHR waiting to "experience" what jetblast feels like! Not only was i knocked off the wall with the gr8 force , the exilim was destroyed !

                    @Sean
                    Thank God You are safe from that blast. The Exilim one can replace, your pictures from the Indian Sphere, one may not have been able to compensate.

                    I use the
                    Canon 40D and the 400D.

                              I want to get a DSLR (using a Kodak Easyshare doesn't really cut it).

                              Is it worth spending the odd $1000 (NZD) for an entry level DSLR such as the Nikon D60?
                              Does it enhance your photos greatly? (Just checking)
                              Note: I did not copy PMN, I am in fact obsessed with both (ask anyone who knows me and they would confirm that I talk constantly about these things

                                Well, it makes getting good shots easier. I can get shots taken with a years old Coolpix 5700 into the db, but that means lots of careful handling and some luck. With a DSLR it is much easier.

                                If you are serious about a DSLR plz remember that bodies come and go, while lenses stay. So a D40 might be better if you can get a better lens with it.
