  • Canadian International Airshow Spotting Help

Alrighty, so I'm thiking of going to the CIAS this weekend. I've never actually gone to see it, I've always gone to YYZ to take photos of the aircraft when they're on the ground.

For the people who have gone before, where is the best place to take photos from? My lens maxes out at 300mm, but as close as possible would be nice.

    Advice anyone?

The unfortunate fact is that you are facing into the sun all day long at this show, unless you know of someone with a boat that can take you south of the Aerobatic box.

When its come to CIAS, you hope for a cloudy day really, other then that, you need to hit the performers on the greatest angle you can, sun is in your face the whole day...

Tom ill be out on the lake aboard a Canadian coast gaurd cutter, which is the new show center, should be fun!
