I realy started photographing during flying with a simple Nikon S10 because that cam was realy small and perfect for me in a cockpit.

After that I switched to Pentax with the X70 because that time I thought a heavy DSLR would be "impossible" (too big, too heavy) during flying!

Well, in 2010 I changed my mind! It is not impossible or to heavy!

I bought me the Pentax K7. Since one year I also have the K5!
    I use Pentax lenses 10-17(Fisheye), 18-55, 50-200, 50-300

I like most the water- and dustresistant of the K7/K5. So it is no problem to use them also outside of the cockpit while flying!

I use almost the same lenses like Brian for aviation photography

      Nikon 70-300 f4-5.6 VR
      Sigma 120-400 IS.

and for all other kinds of pics I use a

      and all on the D300

I started my DSLR aventure with a Nikon D60.
        I now use a Nikon D90.

I have two Nikon lenses - which are the ones I use most:
        AF-S DX 16-85 f/3.5-5.6G ED VR
        AF-S VR 70-300 f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED

        I have two Sigma lenses:
APO 70-200 F2.8 II EX DG MACRO HSM
APO 150-500 F5-6.3 DG OS HSM

With the Sigma 150-500, I am still trying to get a good contrail photo over my house ...
