  • Got my new Nikon D90

I have finally bought myself a replacement camera for my old D70 after 5 and a half years of faithful service.

Any photographer out there, what settings do you have your D90 programmed at? Do I leave it in auto mode or do I use any of the other modes (programmed auto, shutter-priority auto, aperture-priority auto or manual mode)? If using any of the other modes how did you set up your camera?

I will be test driving it on the 1st of May so I'm looking forward to better, sharper images than my old D70.

    Cheers

    Robert

I use P* a lot and switch to A or S only when needed. (for example you want to use S for prop blurr or A for having a sufficent depth of field or the right bookeh)

You also want to turn D-Lightning off. Unless you shoot RAW, then you want to turn it to low, as you can still switch it off during the RAW converison, but can not turn it on in RAW conversion, if it was turned off in camera.

Me settings guide might be off some use for you.
