  • Planepictures.net founder passed away

Ingo Richardt, founder of planepictures.net and flugzeugbilder.de, passed away on 28th of February, 2011. Like for many aviation enthusiasts, it was the first site, where I started uploading photos. With these two sites he gave many newbies in aviation photography a big chance to show their work to the whole world. Thanks for that, Ingo. May you rest in peace. My condolences go out to his family.

Oh my goodness what a shocking and terribly sad situation.

Many of us cut our teeth on Planepictures, and nobody can doubt Ingo's passion for aviation and photography. It is a testament to his passion that he kept planepictures running for so long.

Deepest condolences to all affected by his all too young passing and to the team at planepictures.

Rest in peace and Godspeed Ingo
        Thank you
