All,
I'm off to Madrid for a cheeky day on Weds 7th March and am looking for some tips and pointers to make the most of my trip. It appears, the majority of the time they use runway 33's for landings and 36 for departures. My main aim of the trip is to catch the various LANs, Aeromexico, Avianca and Aerolineas. I've looked at the arrivals and these appear to arrive between 11 & 14.30, therefore my plan was to shoot arrivals until then and head to the mound until sunset.
A couple of questions:
Do I need a car?
Can you rent bicycles in the airport?
Is there parking at the mounds or do I park in the town of Barajas and walk?
Can you get pictures of Avianca/LAN when they land from the mound or are they too far away?
Any help would be really appreciated. Obviously, if there are any locals around that could escort me around that would be awesome. I'll even treat them to lunch!
Thanks in advance.
