  • CHANGING DATES to cheat the systems.

We have recently noted that some photographers are deliberately changing dates on their uploads in order to get them used by FlightRadar 24 on their tracking icons.

This is cheating. You are cheating honest photographers, you are cheating the websites concerned and you are cheating yourselves. We have systems in place now to flag up possible cheating and these are working well. Some 300 images have been deleted from the database and 3 photographers have been banned.

LET ME BE QUITE CLEAR ON THIS. WE WILL NOT TOLERATE CHEATS.

First offence attracts deletion of the images concerned, deletion of queued images and a 3 month ban. Any repeat will attract a permanent ban.
If it 'ain't broken........ Don't try to mend it !

Hi Brian, I have just realised that one of my photos in the database (QF B734) had the wrong date displayed, and have changed it to the correct date. Hopefully this is still allowed under the new date rule. Thanks, Robbie

No problem at all. We still screen date changes which are perfectly allowable. We have some systems in place that flag up possible cheating. Honest photographers have absolutely nothing to worry about.
