We would like to make it clear that uploading images of a fatal crash or pictures of an aircraft as a hot shot that has subsequently been involved in a fatal crash will not be tolerated. We must retain an acceptable degree of sympathy and consider that the surviving relatives of the deceased may possibly be directed to our site and end up seeing an image of the aircraft in which their loved ones died.

What would be the time frame for a fatal crash to be considered as acceptable to upload?

When I was a crew member non fatal crashes were uploadable within the 48 hours rule.
Fatal crashes were never acceptable as hot images and I hope that the screening crew retains that attitude. If it 'ain't broken........ Don't try to mend it !

Unfortunately, we've had to revisit this topic..
As mentioned above, it has happened on multiple occasions in the past that when a fatal incident involving an aircraft occurs, individuals have attempted to upload older images (unrelated to the incident) of that aircraft as 'hot' in an attempt to capitalize on the attention such an incident brings to JetPhotos, via FlightRadar24.
We have again seen such behaviour today, and as such have decided to institute an immediate ban (at our discretion) now, and in the future for anyone who attempts such a disgusting attempt to take advantage of a tragic situation.
Please, have some common decency and do not upload such images as hot.
